Mobile Phone Batteries - Lifeline For Your Phones

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Lilly_Sienna]Lilly Sienna Have you ever thought what is the heart and soul of your mobile phone? We all will come to a consensus that mobile phones have become an indispensable part of our lives. In fact, a mobile phone is the life line of today’s mankind! However, very few of us take care of the fact that the battery is the lifeline of a mobile phone. Battery is the powerhouse of a mobile phone. Most of us have experienced situations when we curse ourselves for not charging the battery. You will definitely feel perturbed if the battery of your mobile phone runs out of charge, say during an important conversation with your boss. It is extremely important to select mobile phone batteries with utmost care. A battery supplies low electrical power for the functioning of a mobile. Different types of batteries are available in the market. The most successful ones that find good demand among people are Li-Polymer batteries. This is the most new type of battery available for your mobile phones. The popularity of Li-Polymer batteries is due to the following benefits offered by them: higher storage capacity light weight Li-ion batteries are also used widely by mobile phone users across the world. These mobile phone batteries have a considerably low discharge rate. So, you can be assured that there will be lesser chance of your mobile phone ditching you at a crucial moment! Low-weight of a Li-ion battery is its another USP that help to make mobile phones and cameras more portable. Mobile phones manufactured by different companies support differently designed and developed batteries. So, when you purchase a mobile phone battery, you should preferably select the battery from the phone manufacturer. Nokia mobile phone users can go for Nokia batteries to ensure a ‘healthy life’ for their phones. These batteries make use of advanced Li-ion technology that makes them long lasting. Unlike Ni-Cad batteries, batteries from Nokia do not require complete discharge before they can be recharged. Select an appropriate battery for your mobile phone and enjoy the pleasure of ‘uninterrupted’ communication with your near and dear ones. Lily Sienna worked as a sales manager in a mobile retail store in the UK. She has an in-depth knowledge about various makes and models of mobile phones, iPod and their accessories. Heisman Trophy Top-10

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Larry_Ness]Larry Ness Michigan beat Notre Dame in South Bend on Saturday (47-21) for the first time since 1994. The 47 points scored on the Irish were the second-most ever allowed by Notre Dame in a home game (Purdue score 51 points in 1960). As for the game’s Heisman implications, if there was a likely winner on the playing field this past Saturday, he was wearing Michigan’s famous maize and blue colors not Notre Dame’s equally recognizable gold and blue. My latest Heisman update follows. Heisman Trophy Top-10 Monday, September 18 1)TROY SMITH (Ohio State) Last Week: 1. Coming off last week’s showdown win over Texas and with its Big-10 opener against Penn State looming next week, it was understandable if Ohio State came out a little flat this past Saturday against Cincinnati. The spark was provided this week by the Ohio State defense, as the Buckeyes sacked Cincinnati QB Dustin Grutza eight times, while holding the Bearcats to minus-four yards rushing in 22 attempts. Trailing 7-6 in the late second quarter, Troy Smith put the Buckeyes ahead with a 12-yard TDP to Ginn with just three minutes remaining in the half. He was six-of-six on that 80-yard drive and actually scampered for a TD that was nullified by a penalty, prior to tossing his first TDP of the game. He added a nine-yard TDP to Ginn in the third quarter and finished off the 37-7 win by going 21-of-30 for 203 yards with two TDPs and again, no INTs. Smith has now led Ohio State to 10 straight wins, completing 67.5 percent of his throws for an average of 249.4 YPG with 20 TDPs and just two INTs. The one thing missing from Smith’s arsenal this year, is the threat of him running. In leading Ohio St on a seven-game winning streak to finish last year, Smith averaged 50.7 YPG (4.9 YPC) and scored six TDs. This year, he’s got negative yards rushing in three games! However, he’s CLEARLY the Heisman front-runner at this point of the season! His season stats are: 56-of-81 69.1 percent 769 yards 7 TDPs 0 INTs. 2ADRIAN PETERSON (Oklahoma) Last Week: 3. Talk about a gutsy effort! AP got little help from QB Paul Thompson, yet despite eight and nine-man fronts, he kept taking the punishment of the Oregon defense. Almost single-handedly, he brought Oklahoma back from deficits of 13-6 at the half and 20-13 entering the fourth quarter, to put the Sooners up 33-20 with just a few minutes left. A great Oregon comeback, buoyed by a number of highly-questionable calls, gave the Ducks the eventual win, 34-33. However, that couldn’t diminish Peterson’s effort, as he gained 145 yards rushing in the fourth quarter alone and finished with his fifth career 200-yard game (he now has 20 career 100-yard games), rushing for 211 yards on 33 carries. Peterson finished second in the Heisman voting as a freshman two years ago (highest finish ever by a freshman) and after three games this year, has produced a very impressive resume. Oklahoma gets a breather this week as the Sooners host Middle Tennessee State (another 200-yard game?). His season stats are: 90 carries 515 yards 5.7 YPC 4 TDs / 3 catches 75 yards 25.0 YPC 1 TD. 3)STEVE SLATON (West Virginia) Last Week: 4. Slaton scored on TD runs of 38 and 37 yards, as the Mountaineers opened a 28-0 first-quarter lead over the Terrapins last Thursday night. Slaton did not score again in West Virginia’s 45-24 win but had 167 of his 195 yards (21 carries) by halftime. The sophomore has been spectacular in West Va’s 3-0 start (Mountaineers have outscored their opponents 139-37), topping 100 yards in all three games (had 203 in the opener). West Va joins Ohio State with 10 straight wins as both schools trail TCU, which owns the nation’s longest active winning streak at 13. Slaton played in just one of West Va’s first four games last year but still finished with 1,128 YR and 19 TDs (17 rushing). He’s now topped 100 yards in eight of his last 10 games, with West Va winning each game in which he’s topped the 100-yard mark. The Mountaineers begin a stretch of four road games over their next five this Saturday, when they visit East Carolina. His season stats are: 62 carries 503 yards 8.1 YPC 6 TDs / 1 catch 12 yards 12.0 YPC 0 TDs. 4)MIKE HART (Michigan) Last Week: 6. Hart helped Michigan end a six-year losing streak in road openers this past Saturday, as the Wolverines trounced Notre Dame in South Bend, 47-21. Henne and Manningham connected on three first-half TDPs (69,20 and 22 yards), as Michigan put Notre Dame in a 34-7 hole right before the half. Hart may not have been the game’s star but he was surely its workhorse, as he gained 124 yards on 31 tough carries, scoring once. It was a big game for Hart, considering the fact that in four previous games vs Michigan’s two biggest rivals (ND and OSU), Hart had gained a total of just 97 yards on 35 carries (2.8 YPC). It marked his third straight 100-yard game this year, giving him 13 in his career (Michigan is 12-1!). Michigan returns to the Big House this Saturday to face Wisconsin, which has opened 3-0 in the post-Barry Alvarez era. His season stats are: 81 carries 386 yards 4.8 YPC 4 TDs / 3 catches 13 yards 4.3 YPC 0 TDs. 5)CHRIS LEAK (Florida) Last Week: 9. Leak struggled in Urban Meyer’s offense last year as his passing yards dropped from 3,197 as a sophomore to 2,639 as a junior plus his TD-to-INT ratio went from 29-12 to 20-6. However, all seems right this year, as evidenced by Florida’s 3-0 start after Leak led the Gators back from a 17-7 deficit at Knoxville on Saturday night to beat the Vols 21-20. Leak threw two second-half TDPs, the last of which gave Florida a 21-20 lead with 6:30 left. Leak doesn’t have the running ability of former Meyer QB Alex Smith (Utah) but the addition of Florida freshman QB Tim Tebow (ran seven times for 29 yards while converting four FDs against the Vols) may just have solved that problem. Leak finished the game 15-of-25 for 199 yards with three TDPs and one INT. Florida is home this coming Saturday to face Kentucky. His season stats are: 55-of-84 65.5 percent 799 yards 10 TDPs 3 INTs. 6)BRADY QUINN (Notre Dame) Last Week: 2. I’m not sure how far others will drop Brady but I’m not sure I’ve dropped him far enough myself! He was extremely average in the opener against Ga Tech and downright TERRIBLE this past Saturday vs Michigan. The Brady we saw last year when he averaged 362.9 YPG passing (four games of better than 400 yards!) over Notre Dame’s final nine regular season games (completed 64.9 percent with 28 TDPs and just six INTs), has not been visible so far in 2006. Brady was not able to lead Notre Dame to a FD in the game’s first quarter and on ND’s first drive had a tipped pass intercepted and returned for a TD. The game’s scoring was capped, when a Brady fumble was returned 54 yards for a TD in the fourth quarter. Overall, Brady had three INTs and that one fumble, while completing 24-of-48 passes for 234 yards with three TDs. ND was down 34-7 and Brady was just 3-of-13 for 14 yards, when he led the Irish to a late first-half TD drive in which he went 7-of-7 for 71 yards. Too little too late? I think so! The “not-so” Fighting Irish visit East Lansing this Saturday to take on Michigan State and a Spartan team that’s beaten the Irish SEVEN of the last nine times they’ve met. Lose here and Brady’s Heisman chances are D-O-N-E! His season stats are: 72-of-122 59.0 percent 767 yards 6 TDPs 3 INTs / one rush TD. 7)DWAYNE JARRETT (USC) Last Week: NR. USC has won three of the last four Heismans (barring the outcome of the Reggie Bush scandal!), so it’s only fair that I include at least one Trojan in my top-10 (Booty may soon join the fray as well!). The Trojans took care of Nebraska Saturday, beating the ‘Huskers 28-10. Jarrett caught a 12-yard TDP on the final play of the first quarter to give USC its first lead and added a second TD catch (a five-yarder) in the third quarter, giving the Trojans a 21-3 lead. Jarrett finished the game with a career-tying high of 11 catches for 136 yards. It’s his 10th career 100-yard receiving game and the 10th time he’s caught at least two TDPs in a contest. He’s got 31 career TD catches, a new USC record that leaves him just one shy of the Pac-10 record of 32, held by Stanford’s Ken Margerum. USC plays at Arizona this Saturday. His season stats are: 16 catches 171 yards 10.7 YPC 2 TDs (just two games). 8)TED GINN JR (Ohio State) Last Week: 5. Ginn grabbed two TD catches again last week but totaled just 33 yards on five catches. I’m still waiting for him to explode but it hasn’t happened (he could use a game like Michigan’s Manningham!). In fact, he doesn’t even lead his own team in receptions, as Gonzalez has 17 to Ginn’s 14. While Jarrett has 31 career TD catches and 10 career 100-yard games (162 catches for 2,294 yards), Ginn’s career numbers are 90 catches for 1,415 yards with 11 TDs (three 100-yard games). Ginn may be part of a national championship team this year but it’s far more likely that he’s playing WITH the Heisman winner this year than being it himself! His season stats are: 14 catches 253 yards 18.1 YPC 5 TDs. 9)KENNY IRONS (Auburn) Last Week: 8. Now I realize that being successful against the LSU defense is no easy chore (the Tigers have held four straight opponents to less than 200 yards of offense while allowing a total of just 16 points) but Irons’ 25-carry 70-yard effort just doesn’ t cut it. It also looks bad when one considers he had a 218-yard game (his career high!) against LSU last year, in Baton Rogue. The week before, Irons saw his seven-game regular season streak of 100-yard efforts stopped by Miss St, as the Bulldogs held him to just 69 yards on 21 carries. More to the point, when Auburn got a HUGE break near the end of Saturday’s game from the officials, who overturned a pass interference call on fourth down to give Auburn the ball, Irons couldn’t come through. Auburn gave Irons the ball on three straight plays but he gained just three yards, allowing LSU another chance at the win. That fact LSU didn’t convert, is irrelevant. Auburn hosts Buffalo this Saturday and while I would expect a big game from Irons, it likely won’t matter much in this poll. His season stats are: 66 carries 322 yards 4.9 YPC 1 TD / 4 catches 36 yards 9.0 YPC 0 TDs. 10)GARRETT WOLFE (Northern Illinois) Last week: 10. I had planned to use another player other than Garrett in my 10-hole this week but this guy is some player! He scored the game’s first TD last Saturday against Buffalo on a 49-yard run and then added a 68-yard TD run and the first play of the 4th quarter. In Northern Illinois’ 31-13 win, Garrett ran for 263 yards on 24 carries with those two TDs (lets see how Irons compares this Saturday vs the Bulls?). It marked his 17th career 100-yard game and his eighth of 200-yards or more. Don’t forget, in the team’s season-opened this year, he ran for 171 yards against Ohio State (you may have heard of them!) plus caught five passes for 114 yards (one TD) vs the Buckeyes as well! Northern Illinois hosts Indiana State this Saturday. His season stats are: 74 carries 630 yards 8.5 YPC 4 TDs / 5 catches 114 yards 22.8 YPC 1 TD. More Information on Getting a Home Loan with Bad Credit

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Cassandra_Ingraham]Cassandra Ingraham Your credit score is 550 and dropping, you live in northern California where the average home price is $600,000. The good news is your new career has a high income level and you earn between $7,800 to $8,200 per month. You are single and your tax lady told you to purchase a home or plan on paying Uncle Sam 20% or more of your income each month. You have nothing against Uncle Sam, but you don’t want to give up $1700 to $1900 a month. Your credit score is low because of the divorce, there was no alimony or child support involved. So now you are wondering, who’s going to give a truck driver, with poor credit a home loan? There are Lenders called Sub-prime Lenders who make loans to people with sub-prime credit. You will need to pay your closing cost and perhaps you can locate a seller who will finance the down payment, or if you purchase in Oakland, California, the city will provide a $50,000 Down Payment Assistance. (The water front condos in Oakland are great) Yes, the interest rate is higher for sub-prime loans, however, after you pay your mortgage (on-time) for 12 months or more, you can qualify for a lower rate. Talk to your Mortgage Broker and be sure to get a loan (if possible) without a pre-payment penalty. (Check with your city to find out if they offer a First Time Home Buyers Down Payment Assistance Program) Keep driving your old truck and when you refinance your primary residences in 12 months, you might want to purchase a small investment property for rental purposes as well ………. do this every 18 months and before you know it you will have a solid seven figure net worth….. and just to think your wealth building started out with a credit score of 550! Is Seminar Marketing Overdone?

By Kathran Martin Dont believe the scuttle butt. Presented well and to the right audience with the right follow-up systems; seminars are still an extremely effective marketing tool for financial advisors. The problem is that many advisors arent paying attention to these details. Are there advisors using seminars effectively? Yes! In fact, some of the very top advisor coaches are convincing their clients to focus more on seminar marketing in these turbulent times and these advisors are reaping large harvests from their efforts. Why use seminar marketing? Begin with the end in mind, says Steven Covey. In this case, we want to collect a group of highly-motivated, high-value clients from our seminar marketing. We want the return on investment (ROI) to be extremely attractive. We want these to run like clock work. We want our seminars to consume the least amount of our time. Does that about sum it up? The primary objective of seminars is to generate a lot of new business, not to get compliments on your teaching ability, humorous stories or the quality of the meal you serve. There are several links in this chain: we need to make sure that the audience has the potential to meet our expectation, we need to close for appointments with 50% of the attendees and we need to convert those appointments into business. How do you get a target audience? What is your target audience? A target audience is one where the audiences needs and concerns are aligned with your value proposition and service offering. For example, if your ideal client is the active, affluent senior living in Temecula California then dont expect good results from a seminar that appeals to Baby Boomers with education funding concerns. In the seminar business there are two ways to qualify attendees: first is with the right mailing list and the second is through the invitations copy. The right list means using a vendor with a large enough database of households and data points about those households to match your target audience. If your target audience is affluent seniors, then you really dont have a targeted audience. Thats simply too broad. But if your target audience were retired boat owners in the state of Texas who were married, owned their homes and were over age 62, then you would be getting closer to a target audience. How do you qualify with copy? You want certain characteristics in your audience. For instance, you might be focusing on the IRA rollover market among retirees who own their homes in central Arkansas. When you write the copy you insert phrases like, You must attend this seminar if you are planning an IRA rollover in the next 6 months. Or, If your IRA is worth less than $250,000 then you might not benefit from this workshop. How do you get qualified, targeted leads to your seminars? Once you have aligned your value proposition with your target market you are well on your way. The next task is to rent space in the mind of your target audience through drip marketing. Drip marketing is extremely effective because you send promotional pieces with clear, constant and consistent marketing messages to a targeted group over a period of time. The group begins to identify you through the pieces and you become like a jingle they just cant get out of their heads. Once youre on their mind and they make contact, you simply have to follow through with your value proposition. As you send out your promotional pieces consider putting a schedule of your seminars in them, so theres plenty of opportunities for people to make it to your presentation. The more opportunities you give them to hear what you have to offer, the better your chances of getting them to your presentation. You can market your seminars through the promotional pieces to catch your target groups attention and drive them to your event. However, the copy in these pieces must not only have the aforementioned qualifiers, but must be fresh, engaging and professional. You must communicate quickly and often how you can earn or save them more money. If you are looking for more training and education on seminar marketing then go to BuildYourMarket.com and look under the market tab. You will find highly-detailed, easy-to-use marketing strategies to build out your brand, capture market share and reach financial independence. Does your CRM just lay there? Reboot Your Financial Well-Being By Secured Home Loan

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Natasha_Anderson]Natasha Anderson Secured home loan is one the most convenient and easy route to acquire loans. You can procure funds by putting your home as collateral. Collateral serves as a guarantee for the creditors and ensures low interest rates. Lenders in general can allow you to borrow any amount up to 500,000. You can even borrow more, up to 125% of the worth of your home. However, the amount you can borrow may vary depending upon your personal state of affairs. You can make a pick from a variety of packages of secured home loan available in the market such as fixed, variable, capped and discount. Choose the one that suits your parameters. A fixed rate, as the name denotes means fixed rate on the loan amount. Variable rate fluctuates with the increase and decrease of the prime rate. If the prime rate increases, interest rates on the loan amount lower down. Whereas with the decrease in the prime rate, the interest rate on your loan goes high. Capped rate simply means that your interest rates would not rise above a specified limit. This can protect you even with a rise in your interest rate. Discounted rate implies that the interest rates on your loan are below the variable rate for a specified period of time. You can make use of your loan amount for an assortment of reasons such as: Debt consolidation Car purchase Wedding Medical Bills Vacation Miscellaneous expenses The market is swamped with numerous lucrative loan options. But it is important to choose the loan deal that befits your financial requirements. This can be achieved by doing a little bit of spadework at your end. In this endeavor, internet comes forward as the most reliable resource. You can scan through the various loan quotes provided by online loan providers. Are you troubled with a bad credit tag? Secured Home Loan can put an end to your financial problems with convenience. You are labeled with having a bad credit if you have witnessed circumstances such as individual voluntary agreements, county court judgments, defaults, arrears, bankruptcy status amongst other reasons. This scenario can affect your financial well-being such as having difficulty in procuring a loan at favorable terms. But with secured home loan you can get access to funds at a reasonable rate as your home would serve as collateral. Make a thorough evaluation of your resources before you embark upon a secured home loan. As the loan is secured on your home, any default in the scheduled repayments may result in repossession of your home. This can be easily avoided by making timely repayments. Don’t Be Defeated - Be Empowered

By Tricia Bowers Taking a job out of fear and desperation will never satisfy you for very long, nor will it last all that long either, and before you know it your back to square one. As I said; a job is nothing more than “just over broke”, and who wants to live like that! I realize how desperate situations in life can be; I lived that existance for many years, fighting and struggling just to make ends meet, if I was lucky. Many of the jobs out there have little to no growth. You can’t see a future there, and for many of the JOB’s out there, you probably wouldn’t want too. You chose that position, for lack of a better word for one reason; a PAYCHEQUE. Not because you found an exilerating rush from waiting on people. or sitting at a desk and staring at three cubicle panels, or praying for the sale that would put your pay over the four hundred marker on next weeks paycheque. I know this because I did all of these things, and guess what? I got a great big “YOU’RE FIRED!” from everyone of them. Eventually, I started to figure things out. I didn’t want to hear the words “YOU’RE FIRED!” again. So who could I work for that wouldn’t fire me no matter how badly I screwed up? ME!! I am my perfect boss. Don’t get me wrong here, the road to being self employed was no picnic, but neither was the life I had before. So, I had to make a decission. “Do I want to live in fear of not performing or living up to someone elses expectations, and always wondering when I would hear the two dreaded words? Or, did I want to feel empowered, secure and confident every morning when I got out of bed and ready and eager to get to work on something that I was doing for me?” First I asked myself, “Self; what makes me unique and different from everyone else? What are my strengths and weaknesses? And what can I do that will get me excited every morning and keep me motivated to want to work so hard? Once I started to think about it, I was amazed at the answers I found. I used those answers and formed a list of all the qualities I possess. All my positive qualities on one side and all my negative qualities on the other. Once I completed my list I realized that in order for me to have any share of success with my new business, I had to also have success in my personal life. That was the scariest part of this process. I had to look at the good, the bad and the ugly. Believe me, there was alot more bad and ugly, than I ever cared to admit. But ultimately, that was the problem; I never changed my situation, because I never wanted to change myself. I didn’t want to admit that I had flaws, even though they were staring me square in the face on a daily bases. Once I narrowed down who I was and what I was dealing with, and what I wanted to do with my life, and what I wanted to do with my life, I quickly started to see major changed in myself. The positives started to out way the negatives. I made a decission to achieve the things I wanted in life, which was difficult for me, because I never stuck to any decissions I made. But I did it, and those negative character flaws, turned into positive character attributes. I was now able to make a strong confident decissions that turned my life around. I finally added value to my life, and everyone in it. Whenever I started to feel negative or defeated, I simply reminded myself of the obsticles I have overcome and was able to see a clear path to where my life was heading. I would often tell myself whenever I fell into a slump, “the only one who will hold you back is you, so stop feeling sorry for yourself and get back to doing what you love to do!” That couching always got me through the tough times and still does today. I needed to build the foundation of my life, my family and my business. I stopped living my life feeling defeated and I started living my life feeling empowered and determined. This is an excert from the book “YOU’RE FIRED!” written by author Tristan Becker, at http://www.yourefiredbooks.com. Where Romance Scams Occur on the Internet

By Alan Prince Romance scams occur in a number of places and websites on the internet, with various methods being used. The scammers target some particular sites where they know that they are likely to catch potential victims. Some of the most popular types of websites that they target for romance scams are listed below: 1.Dating Sites: This is about the largest fishing grounds for victims. The scammers join dating sites, both paid and free ones, in order to hunt for victims. Few of these dating sites, if any at all does not have these villains as members. No matter what the owners try in the form of preventive or security measures, the scammers are up to the task and always manage to evade the rules. It is sad to note that some dating sites still have a non-challant attitude till date to the activities of scammers and have not taken adequate measures to prevent innocent people using their services from the antics of the romance scammers. 2.Chat Rooms: many free email hosts offer chat rooms as fora for users of their services. Unfortunately, scammers have turned this well intentioned facility into a bad one. The chat rooms are the places where they fish for potentisl scam victims. The scammers typically enter a chat room and try to strike up a conversation with anyone they so choose out of the people in the room. They could send instant messages to as many people as is possible,in the hope that a few would reply and chat with them. And they usually succeed with this. 3.Religious,charitable and other innocent sites:Although such innocent sites as these are set up in order to offer help to the needy, and to help humanity, they do not escape the attention of scammers. The very fact that these type of websites are set up for humanitarian or religious purposes makes the people there especially vulnerable to the scammers. Such people are typically unsuspecting and have their guard let down. Alan Prince has done extensive research on the growing menace of romance scams. His work has helped many people and online groups to learn the truth about the scams. You can get more information about how you can avoid romance scams at http://www.elovedeceptions.com. What’s Preventing You Finding Your Mr. Right?

By Michael Myerscough There may be many reasons why you haven’t found your perfect partner yet. Here’s one of the main reasons many of my clients haven’t found theirs, and how you can eliminate it as a problem from your life. BTN Relationships BTN? Better than nothing. That may sound cruel, but you can spend months certainly and often years going out with men that, deep down, you know aren’t the one. What you have in these relationships is partial compatibility. Sometimes you’ll meet someone who ticks most of the boxes on your checklist but not all of them. At this point you have a choice to make, do you move on immediately or not? Most of us have at some point been in a relationship that was almost it. It’s easily possible to spend years trying to get a relationship to work when it isn’t really what you want. In itself that isn’t necessarily bad, we learn amazing things about ourselves in any relationship and we’re generally going to grow through the experience. However if your long term goal is to get married and set up home or to have kids then you might want to do a better job of protecting your time. There is a saying within time management philosophy which states that ‘the great should never be at the mercy of the good.’ So how do you prevent yourself from getting stuck in a relationship with just the good? How do you ensure you don’t get stuck in BTNs over and over again, spending years of your life in relationships that aren’t going to last? The 3 Month Rule One of my dating clients Sheila, who’s been very successful recently, told me of a strategy she’s developed that she calls the three month rule. Sheila is convinced that this particular rule has already saved her a couple of years in her pursuit of Mr. Right. She was good enough to give me her permission to share it with you, so here it is. It’s very easy to understand in theory: If whoever you’re seeing isn’t lighting your lights after three months together then you move on. The things you want to be taking into account include the following: Is this person you’re dating making enough time for you? Do you feel truly loved by them? Do you feel like they are one of your best friends? Do you feel like you can really trust your date? Do you still fancy the pants off them? Hopefully you get the general gist of where these questions are going. Sheila’s approach, which I think is brilliant, is to give it a maximum of three months to decide. This allows the relationship time to evolve and may allow you to work out some of the places where you initially feared there would be some level of conflict. Personally I’ve always like three as a number, there’s a beginning, a middle and then the conclusion. After three months it should be possible for you to make an informed decision about whether your potential Mr. Right is actually right for you. Your understanding of this all hinges on whether you have a clear idea of what makes a partner perfect for you. If you aren’t clear on that then it makes it extremely difficult to leave. And remember, you’ll be leaving people before you’ve argued the relationship to death and it often feels much harder as you still love them. The upside in my experience both personally and professionally is that in the long run you get to keep someone who still feels like a friend even if youre not going to be lovers.
